Σχολική Χρονιά 2023-2024
Στα πλαίσια του προγράμματος STRONGER TOGETHER FOR SOCIAL ACTION (σύμπραξη Αγγλίας και Ευρωπαικής ένωσης) τα παιδιά του Λυκείου μας δημιούργησαν την τελική τους παρουσίαση με ένα e-book. To υλικό του e-book είναι εργασίες των μαθητών μας Αλέξανδρου Λαμπρίδη, Μαρίλιας Κώστα και Μαρίνας Σάντς, και μαθητών του Sharples School της Αγγλίας αλλά και του Daugavpils Lyceum of Technologies της Λάτβιας. Η δημιουργία του e-book ήταν δημιουργία των δικών μας μαθητών μαζί με τις καθηγήτριες τους υπεύθυνες του προγράμματος Αυγούστας Τσεκούρα, Μαριάννας Παφίτη και Μαρίας Σπανού.

As representatives of Group 8 in the STRONGER TOGETHER project "Skills on Track," we are committed to addressing the urgent issue of youth unemployment and poverty. We have come to realize that in order for young people in EU and the UK to combat unemployment, they do not only need degrees and certificates, but they need confidence, creativity, problem solving skills and all the Skills of the 21st Century, which are becoming more and more valuable to employers. That is why we decided that working on these skills because we strongly believe it will make a difference to this generation and -why not –to future ones. With participants from Linopetra Lyceum in Cyprus, Sharples School in the UK and Daugavpils Lyceum of Technologies in Latvia, we bring diverse perspectives to the table. The statistics are alarming: in Cyprus, youth unemployment stands at 18.69%, in the UK it's 11.6%, and in Latvia, it's 13.72%. These numbers represent real challenges faced by young people in our communities. Our project dives deep into understanding the root causes and explores solutions. Through workshops, seminars, and community outreach, we aim to empower young people with the skills and resources they need to succeed in the job market. We have compiled our research into a comprehensive 63-page booklet, which will be shared online for everyone who wants to access it and it can be read in the future for comparison or information. Additionally, we have shared it on our schools' websites to reach the present and next generation. Together, we can break the cycle of youth unemployment and poverty, creating a brighter future for all.
Σχολική Χρονιά 2022-2023
Φέτος το σχολείο μας συμμετέχει στο πρόγραμμα #Stronger Together for social action του British Council. To Βρετανικό συμβούλιο προχώρησε για πρώτη φορά φέτος στο πρόγραμμα αυτό. Οι μαθητές/τριες που εμπλέκονται σε αυτό είναι της Α΄ Λυκείου γιατί είναι 2ετή πρόγραμμα. Στόχος είναι να τονιστεί ο ρόλος των νέων ηλικίας 15-18 σαν changemakers δηλαδή άτομα που θα κάνουν την αλλαγή στην κοινωνία και να γίνουν ενεργοί παγκόσμιοι πολίτες και ηγέτες σε Τοπικό, Ευρωπαϊκό και Εθνικό επίπεδο.
Έχουμε εγκριθεί να αδελφοποιηθούμε και να συνεργαστούμε με σχολείο του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου και στόχος είναι να φέρει κοντά τα σχολεία της Αγγλίας με αυτά της Ευρώπης. Θα δοθεί σε εμάς και στο σχολείο της Αγγλίας ένα κοινό κοινωνικό σχέδιο για συνεργασία και δράσεις. Τα δίδυμα σχολεία που θα διακριθούν θα μπορέσουν να στείλουν από 3 μαθητές/μαθήτριες (με συνοδεία καθηγητή) στο εξωτερικό τον Απρίλιο του 2024 για να λάβουν μέρος σε ένα διεθνές εργαστήριο. Τα έξοδα του ταξιδιού είναι πληρωμένα από το πρόγραμμα.
